MAREA

Marea takes its name from the movement of the tide — a richly layered composition where mineral greens, deep blue, earthy ochres and warm rust tones move freely across the canvas.
 
More expressive than the quieter works within the collection, Marea is built through layers of pigment, texture and gestural mark-making. Areas of colour appear to emerge, recede and overlap, creating a surface that reveals new details the closer it is viewed.
 
The palette draws inspiration from the changing colours of Mediterranean waters and coastline — deep mineral tones, weathered stone, sea-washed greens and flashes of sun-warmed earth. Rather than depicting a landscape literally, the composition captures its movement, atmosphere and shifting light.
 
Designed as a statement work, Marea brings depth, colour and energy to an interior while retaining the natural, earthy character of the CASA SOL collection. Its larger scale works particularly beautifully against quiet architectural surroundings, natural stone, plaster, oak and warm neutral interiors.

Each piece is individually created by hand and may feature subtle variations in colour, texture, markings and finish, making every work unique.
 
Available framed or unframed.
Framed works are finished in a substantial handmade solid oak frame, individually constructed in our studio from solid, natural oak. Each frame is made and finished by hand to complement the scale and quality of the artwork.
 
Choose from natural raw oak, dark oak, black oak or white oak.
Please allow approximately 4–6 weeks for your artwork to be created, framed where selected, and prepared for dispatch.
 
Worldwide delivery is available. Delivery is charged separately and calculated according to the size of the artwork and destination.
