A tactile study of mineral texture, natural imperfection and the quiet beauty of sun-washed landscapes.
 
Sahara is built through layers of clay plaster, pigment and hand-worked texture, creating a richly tactile surface inspired by weathered stone, dry earth and the softly eroded architecture of Mediterranean landscapes.
 
Warm chalky neutrals move subtly across the canvas, while irregular markings, ridges and imperfections give the surface depth and character. Rather than depicting a landscape literally, Sahara captures the feeling of materials shaped slowly by heat, light and time.
 
Its restrained palette allows texture to become the focus. As light travels across the artwork throughout the day, raised areas create subtle variations of highlight and shadow, revealing new details within the surface.
 
Quiet yet substantial, Sahara brings an architectural quality to an interior and works particularly beautifully alongside natural oak, limestone, travertine, linen and softly plastered walls.

Each piece is individually created by hand and may feature subtle variations in tone, texture and finish, making every work unique.
 
Handmade Solid Oak Frame Available
Framed works are finished in a substantial handmade solid oak frame, individually constructed in our studio from solid, natural oak. Each frame is made and finished by hand to complement the scale and quality of the artwork. Choose from natural raw oak, dark oak, or white painted finishes.
 
Please allow approximately 4–6 weeks for your artwork to be created, framed where selected, and prepared for dispatch.
 
Delivery is calculated according to the size of the artwork and destination.
