SANDSTONE

Sandstone is a study in restraint, proportion and texture. A raised linear form sits against a softly layered neutral ground, creating subtle depth through shadow, surface and changing light.
 
Inspired by sun-washed stone, lime plaster and the imperfect architectural finishes found throughout southern Europe, the piece combines warm mineral tones with a deliberately minimal composition.
 
Its simplicity allows the texture itself to become the focus. Viewed throughout the day, variations in the hand-worked surface become more apparent as natural light moves across the canvas.
 
Quiet and sculptural, Sandstone works particularly beautifully in calm, architectural spaces and alongside natural materials such as oak, linen, limestone and travertine.
 
The artwork may be displayed in portrait or landscape orientation, allowing the composition to adapt naturally to its setting.

Each piece is individually created by hand and may feature subtle variations in tone, texture and finish, making every work unique.
 
Available framed or unframed.
Framed works are finished in a substantial handmade solid oak frame, individually constructed in our studio from solid, natural oak. Choose from natural raw oak or a dark oak frame.
 
Please allow approximately 4–6 weeks for your artwork to be created, framed where selected, and prepared for dispatch.
Delivery is calculated according to the size of the artwork and destination.
